Live On-Site Printing for Events

Plan the printing around your event

Live apparel printing gives attendees a way to participate in your event and leave with custom merchandise. Share the event location and schedule so A+ Images can review travel, staffing, equipment, and production requirements before confirming availability.

Include expected attendance, garment choices, design options, personalization needs, and venue access or setup restrictions. Every event is individually quoted. If you need merchandise decorated before the event instead, explore event merchandise and tour apparel.

On-site printing for events is one of the most engaging and memorable ways to connect with your audience. Whether you’re hosting a corporate activation, school event, trade show, festival, or fundraiser, live apparel printing turns attendees into participants—and gives them something tangible to take home. Using advanced methods like Direct-to-Film (DTF), heat-applied vinyl, and screen printed transfers, on-site printing delivers high-quality, customized products in real time.

Order quantities and minimums

There is no minimum garment quantity. A $20 minimum order value applies to all customers except approved wholesale/reseller accounts. Screen-printing orders of fewer than 12 shirts have a setup fee. Your quote confirms garment, decoration, artwork, setup, and shipping charges as applicable.

What Is On-Site Printing?

On-site printing (also called live printing or event printing) is the process of producing custom apparel (typically t-shirts, hoodies, or tote bags) live and in-person at your event. Guests can choose designs, personalize items, and watch the printing process happen live. This creates an interactive experience that boosts engagement and brand recall.

Printing Methods We Use

To ensure flexibility and quality, we utilize three primary decoration methods:

  1. Direct-to-Film (DTF) Printing
DTF is a versatile, high-quality method where designs are printed onto a special film and then heat-applied to garments. It allows for vibrant colors, fine detail, and excellent durability on a wide range of fabrics. DTF is perfect for full-color designs, gradients, and fast on-demand production, making it ideal for live events. We print the transfers in advance and apply them to blank garments at the event.
  2. Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV)
Vinyl is great for bold, clean designs—especially names & numbers. It’s commonly used for sports-style customization and fast personalization. Vinyl is durable and delivers a vibrant, professional finish. Vinyl is offered in both standard and glitter options. Names and numbers are cut and printed in-person.
  3. Screen Printed Transfers
Screen printed transfers combine the quality of traditional screen printing with the flexibility of on-demand production. Designs are pre-printed and then heat-applied on-site. This allows for fast turnaround and consistent, high-quality results—perfect for larger events.

Benefits of Live Event Printing

Engagement: Watching apparel being printed live draws a crowd and keeps people interacting with your brand longer.
Customization: Guests love the ability to personalize their items, making each piece unique.
Memorability: A custom shirt created on-site becomes a keepsake, not just a giveaway.
Brand Visibility: Attendees often wear their items immediately, turning them into walking advertisements.
Data & Insights: Interactive stations can be paired with data capture (QR codes, sign-ups, etc.) to enhance ROI. These pairings are done through the hosting venue, not A+ Images.

How to Plan a Successful On-Site Printing Experience

To maximize impact, plan ahead:

  • Design Strategy: Offer one or two design options, with the ability to personalize.
  • Garment Selection: Choose high-quality apparel in popular sizes and colors.
  • Staffing: We need to know all your needs so our operators keep lines moving and quality high.
  • Power & Space Requirements: We’ll need an absolute minimum of 10’ x 10’ space, but possibly up to 10′ x 20′, depending on your needs. We’ll also need two or three dedicated 20-amp outlets.

Why On-Site Printing Works

In today’s experience-driven marketing world, people want more than just free items, they want involvement. On-site printing combines entertainment, customization, and branding into one powerful activation. By using DTF, vinyl, and screen-printed transfers, we can adapt to any event size, design complexity, or audience need.

If you’re looking to elevate your next event, on-site printing is a proven way to create buzz, increase engagement, and leave a lasting impression.
